Getting The Most Bang For Your Money.

Our engines are best known for there:
                                                                    Price
                                                                    Reliability
                                                                    Torque
                                                                    Weight
                                                                    Maintance Free
                                                                    Easy Start Up

Comparison
Let's compare our outboard with those available on the market starting with Electric Tolling Motors and Gas Motors.

Weight
The difference between our outboard and a trolling motor is weight, price, and duration of play time on the water.   At  16lbs. our outboard engine is lighter than any of the best made trolling motors, especially when the average trolling motor weight is 25 - 40lbs plus a 40lbs deep cycle battery to operate it.  You don't need us to add the numbers for you, but just in case, 16lbs vs 75lbs.

Distance and Range
A trolling motor will last 1-2 hours with no current or wind present, however, a gallon of gas will last you all day.

Price Point
The cheapest trolling motor rated at 3/4 HP. will cost $240 at Wal-Mart and add $75 for a deep cycle battery plus a battery charger $40. totalling $355.00 and for a few dollars more you can get a light weight gas outboard engine

Summary
For $ 355 you get 1-2 hours of limited distance and fishing time using a trolling motor, as opposed to gas powered outboard delivering hours of  play time and fishing with no limitation on distance

Service / Parts / Down Time
Honda, Yamaha, Johnson, Nissan, Tohatsu and Mercury without question build good outboards, not to mention, thay are complicated in design and most often need specialized marine mechanics to service them.

Compare that with ours, which are very simplistic in design and servicable without the need of a mechanic.   Our parts are readily avaiable, reasonably priced and usually ship out the same day.

In fact, try buying a carburator or an electronic circuit from them, see if you can get any of these parts for less than $100 plus a week's wait if you're lucky.

Shop Rates - Labor - Parts
If that doesn't bother you, check their shop rates for working on those little over glorified weed wahker/ egg beater/ putt-putts with a propeller at its end.  ($70-$80-$90 an hour plus parts)

Summary.
Honda, Yamaha, Johnson, Nissan, Tohatsu, Mercury 2HP outboars are sold for no less than $700-$980.
Our 2HP outboard sells for $499.

Easy To Start Up
Our fine tuned outboard doesn't need to be roughed up to start, after all, it ain't a lawn mower.
Gently pull the starter cord a few times and she'll start, much like a fine tuned engine.

Maintainence Free
There are no gears to lock up on you.
No points and condensers to affect timing or spark plug ignition.
No state of the art electronics to go bad.

Easy To Work On
One thing for sure, all engines sooner or later will need service. Unlike others, ours is a simple engine to work on your self, in fact, very few things need to done to get it started if it doesn't start .

Trouble Shooting
Contaminated Fuel    Fouled Spark Plug    Bad Carburetor    Raw Fuel

A)  Contaminated Fuel   (water in the gas)
Caused from long storage or from the gas station.
Solution: Make a new batch of mixed fuel and dispose of the old one.

B)  Fouled Spark Plug    (dirty or gummy spark plug tip)
Caused by bad gas or oil settling on the bottom of the engine tank.
Solution: Pop out the old plug, clean the plug tip, put the plug back and start the engine.

C)  Bad Carburetor
Will not allow you to start easy nor accelerate smoothly.  Often occurs from bad gas or gummy
substance build up over the winter season or long period of storage.
Solution: Replace the carburetor with a new one and save yourself a lot of aggrevation.

D)  Raw Fuel
Means that you have not mixed any oil or a very low amount of 2 cycle oil and have not followed the
Gas/Oil Mixture Recommendations in Owners Manual.  Therefore, causing major damage to your
engine.  In this case you can ship us the power head and for $120.00 we can send you a new one.

Inexpensive To Get Them Serviced
All of the above solutions are not going to cost any money, with the rare exception of replacing the carburator for $18.00.  Now that's affordable!!!

Fuel Mixture
The key to keeping your engine in ship shape, is good lubrication.  We know from years of experience that the more oil you use the longer your engine will last.

OPTI-2 oil was tested on our 2 stroke engines and OPTI-2 oil is excellent.  OPTI-2 beats most all other brands out there.  Although, it may cost slightly more (not available at your local big box stores), it is well worth the price.  OPTI-2 can be purchased from us directly or often they are sold on the internet, lawn mower repair shops and motorcycle shops.

We ran our 2 cycle trolling motor for 9 hours, (non stop) using Opti-2 - Two cycle oil and found it to perform very well,  it kept the engine running cooler and slightly quieter.

We give Opti-2 an AAA+  rating. Of course they don't need us to endorse them ,as they hold the top notch performance standard E-DG+

Please Note:
If you can afford Opti- 2 use it; it is worth it in the long run.

If you would rather go with a quality brand that is readily available in most box stores, we recommend using either Penzoil or any Natural Blend of regular 2 cycle oil (6oz to 1 gallon ).

WARNING:   However we strongly advise to stay away from synthetic 2 cycle oils, no matter what anyone
tells you.  Synthetic oils were tested on our engines and they seized and burned to a crisp.

DON'T  USE:  Amsoil, Wal-Mart's Synthetic Penzoil, Boater's World and West Marine's synthetic or
synthetic blends.  These all proved disastrous.

"So, now you know,  you won't need to find out the hard way."

  Carburetor

This is a carburetor, for those who don't know what one looks like.

"Nothing complicated about it or its installation".

You only replace a carburetor when your engine starts giving you a
   hard time starting (very rarely).

Carburetor replacement  is replaced only after you've completed the
"Trouble Shooting" outline in the Owners Manual.

  Spark Plug

These are spark plugs, for those who don't know what one looks like.

Here is "Clean Spark Plug (left) and a Dirty Spark Plug (right).

  2 Cycle Oil

Guess which one of these 2 cycle oils you should stay away from?

HINT: "STAY AWAY FROM SYNTHETIC" (the one on the left)

If you choose the PENNZOIL or OPTI-2, you've read the infomation
above, we will probably never hear from you again for service or
  parts.
